dsh-cookie-bridge

A small Chrome (Manifest V3) extension that exports plaintext cookies from your Chrome profile to dsh-computer-use, so the computer-use browser can start already logged in — without touching Chrome's App-Bound Encryption.

Chrome 127+ encrypts cookies with App-Bound Encryption, so a separate process can't read your profile's cookies directly. This extension sidesteps that by running inside Chrome: chrome.cookies returns the plaintext values, and the extension sends them to a local receiver on 127.0.0.1 — cookie values never leave your machine.

Install

1. Open chrome://extensions.
2. Enable Developer mode (top-right).
3. Click Load unpacked and select this folder.

Flow: agent requests domains → receiver queues → extension extracts (filtered) → receiver saves cookies.json → the plugin imports it.

Privacy & security

• Cookies are filtered by the allowlist before they leave Chrome.
• Values travel only to 127.0.0.1 (localhost); never to any remote host.
• The extension requests broad host permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*) because that is what the cookies API requires to read any domain; it does nothing else with them.

The companion dsh-computer-use native helper is Windows-only. A macOS version is welcome — the author has no macOS environment.
