Turkish Language Pack for DeepSeek Harness
This plugin provides Turkish UI localization for DeepSeek Harness Desktop. Translations are maintained from the official English localization and source of the exact Harness release listed below.
Features
- Turkish UI localization with complete coverage of the targeted release
- Canonical corpus extracted from the official English localization
- Placeholder-safe validation and terminology checks
- Deterministic bundle generation and automated verification
Compatibility
Built and verified against DeepSeek Harness Desktop 0.2.0-rc.2:
dsh-v0.2.0-rc.2, commit 639ed015397290b3745d163aafe02ffee4aa3f84.
Future versions may change localization keys and must be re-audited before
compatibility is claimed.
Installation
No npm package has been published. Install from a local checkout of this repository.
The package identifier is dsh-client-locale-tr.
Local development
With the Harness CLI available, open Desktop once to initialize its profile, then fully quit Desktop. From a checkout at a generic location:
cd ~/Projects/dsh-client-locale-tr
npm run verify
dsh plugin --profile desktop add ./
Restart Desktop after installation. The package includes its generated client bundle and requires no dependency installation or build for use.
GitHub
The intended repository is karahanart/dsh-client-locale-tr. Once it is publicly available, clone it and follow the local installation steps:
git clone https://github.com/karahanart/dsh-client-locale-tr.git
cd dsh-client-locale-tr
npm run verify
dsh plugin --profile desktop add ./
If upgrading an installation using an earlier package identifier, reinstall under
dsh-client-locale-tr so the profile resolves the updated Cordis package reference.
Usage
Choose Settings → General → Language → Türkçe.
Development
Use Node.js 20 or newer for audit, generation, verification and tests. There are no external build or test dependencies.
npm run audit
npm run generate
npm run verify
npm test
The source pipeline is: official upstream English corpus →
schema/canonical-en.json → src/tr.json → generator → lib/client.js.
Edit translations in src/tr.json; the generated bundle is committed for installation.
Extraction additionally requires Node.js 22.6 or newer for native TypeScript
stripping. Maintainers can run npm run extract with a separate upstream checkout at the
exact tag and commit above. Its default location is ~/Projects/deepseek-harness-rc2;
set DSH_HARNESS=/path/to/deepseek-harness-rc2 to use another location.
See localization maintenance.
Verification
The verified corpus contains 58 namespaces and 2615 keys, with structural and placeholder validation and 20 passing tests. Desktop visual/use QA was completed successfully with no observed localization problems. See verification results and the repeatable Desktop QA route.
Known limitations
The bundled FortuneSheet 1.0.4 locale implementation does not provide Turkish, so some spreadsheet-internal UI may fall back to English. This is outside the Harness localization corpus handled by this plugin. Evidence and the pinned implementation link are recorded in the context QA report.
Contributing
Edit source translation files, regenerate the client bundle, and ensure audit, verification and tests pass. Check context-sensitive wording against its actual use site in the matching Harness source. See CONTRIBUTING.md.
