Hermes recall
Auto-detects whichever memory tool local Hermes uses, then reuses its skills and memory in DeepSeek Harness, with always-available recall.
Requirements
DeepSeek Harness and Hermes run on the same computer. The plugin finds the local Hermes home automatically; a different machine is planned for the second release.
What happens after install
| Situation | Result | Action needed |
|---|---|---|
| Local Hermes uses mem0 | Skills and profile appear, recall on demand | None |
| Local Hermes uses another memory tool | Its own command or interface is found automatically | None |
| Memory lives in a cloud service | Local private config is read, credentials never shown | None |
| No memory tool configured | Skills still work, built-in file search answers recall | None |
Four channels are tried in order; a channel that does not answer is skipped silently, and the last one always answers.
Privacy
Read-only, no write-back, no upload, no credentials in logs. The published package contains code, empty templates, synthetic examples and documentation only. Uninstalling restores the previous state.
Install
Add this directory through the desktop plugin page, or run dsh plugin --profile <profile> add dsh-hermes-recall and restart the host.
