dsh-bowmark

Community plugin for DeepSeek Harness, maintained by Bowmark. Not an official DeepSeek product. MIT licensed.

Connects Bowmark's hosted MCP server and registers the tools that server publishes. They show up as mcp__bowmark__*. With them the agent can search Bowmark's library of typed functions for live websites (get_library) and call them from a short script (run).

What it does

The agent can use Bowmark without a local npx process. The plugin reads an API key from the DSH credential store and hands a Streamable HTTP connection to the built-in @deepseek-ai/dsh-mcp-client. The key is not stored in cordis.patch.yml.

If the credential is empty, the plugin stays loaded and registers no Bowmark tools. Saving the credential reconnects.

How it works

1. Resolve apiKeyEnv (default BOWMARK_API_KEY) through ctx.credentials.
2. Connect to https://api.bowmark.ai/mcp with that key as Authorization: Bearer. The key is never put in the URL.
3. Mount one @deepseek-ai/dsh-mcp-client child. Tool names, schemas and results come from the server.
4. When credentials/reference-updated fires for the same credential name, dispose that child and connect again.

Each tool call times out after 3 minutes.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:bowmark-ai/dsh-bowmark

Restart DeepSeek Harness if the tools do not appear in the current session.

Make a free account at bowmark.ai (it comes with a free $10 of usage), create a key at bowmark.ai/dashboard/keys, then set the BOWMARK_API_KEY credential in this plugin's settings, or export the same name in the environment that launches DeepSeek Harness.

Configuration

Security

See SECURITY.md. The key is sent only to the configured endpoint, as a bearer header.

Uninstall

dsh plugin --profile <name> remove dsh-bowmark

Troubleshooting

• No mcp__bowmark__* tools: the BOWMARK_API_KEY credential is empty, or the session needs a restart.
• 401 in the log: the key was revoked or mistyped. Make a new one on the keys page.
